This Raw Lacquer 6 speed Brompton really shows off the hand made craftmanship of the Brompton factory.

Because the Brompton folds to such a small size means it is accepted on just about all public transport, can be stored under your desk when at work or in a small cupboard when at home.

1. Frame
Regular - all steel
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

Main frame: Raw Lacquer
Extremities: Raw Lacquer

3. Handlebars
H-type - like the classic Brompton shape offering a comfortable ride, but higher - new low rise 2017 version bar gives the same position but increased rigidity (less flexing of the bars)

4. Gears / drivechain
6 speed BWR (Brompton Wide Ratio) internal hub gear equipped rear wheel plus 2 speed derailleur system (giving 6 gears in total)

54T front chainring (+8% gearing over standard)
102 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink

5. Front luggage system
Lugs in the frame allow future fitting of front carrier block / luggage

New 2016 version standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels
Standard Brompton 16 x 1 3/8 inch tyres with reflective sidewall to help make you more visible to cars when riding in the dark 
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes - for the black edition, the wheels have black hubs, black spokes and black rims (the braking surface is still silver)
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle
New 2016 version standard black Brompton saddle
Built in saddle looks allow for saddle bags / small Brompton luggage items to be carried attatched to the saddle
Integrated moulded grip under the nose of the saddle makes carrying the folded bike easier
2016 enhancements include reduced prominent stitching to reduce chaffing and a mount point for future rear lights 

10. Seat height
Extended seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 35 inches
(If you are shorter - up to 33 inch inside leg - then a standard length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

11. Suspension
Standard suspension - suitable for riders up to 70kg
(If you are above this weight we can fit a firm suspension block instead for no extra cost)
