Introduced 2017 is this S-Bag with a Union Jack (removable) front flap

Designed to show London icons and Brompton component imagery

The Union Jack / Flag design shows off a selection of Brompton components along with some recognisable London landmarks / icons (London Eye, Tower Bridge, Tea-pot!)

This comes complete with shoulder strap, shower proof cover and frame for mounting to the Brompton luggage system

About the bag

The S-type bag from Brompton item is suitable for use with all Brompton handlebar types, both the low and high rise versions too (some of the other bags are not suitable for the S-type bicycle because the lower height of the bars can affect the steering)

Union Jack design in red white and blue on the front flap - the red and blue are designed to show off Brompton components / parts and London landmarks / icons 

The adjustable shoulder strap contains an embroidered Brompton triptych folding logo

The removable front flap allows the bags to be personalised with different designs - so you can be corporate and black during the week and bright at the weekends (or vice versa!)

The S-bag was actually re-modelled in 2016 - the suspended laptop compartment (for increased protection) is one of the key enhancements

A shower proof cover is hidden away in its own pocket - it has a brighter opening cord to allow you to locate it - some people had difficultly when it was first launched

There are two velcro strips and two straps at the front to help keep the flap securely in place

There are two small pockets underneath the front flap

There are two zip up pockets at the rear

There are two pockets at the side - primarily for taking up and storing the slack from the adjustable shoulder strap

The frame (which attaches to the luggage carrier block) is removable - just undo two velcro straps and slide it out if you want a softer shoulder bag

Brompton front luggage options are based on the Brompton 'Front Carrier System'. Luggage is attached via a frame that latches securely onto a tapered block. It takes a second to attach or release your bag and the load is attached directly to the main frame - with little effect on steering.

The padded shoulder strap should be stowed away when the bag is fitted to the bike so that there is no risk of loose material snagging. To stow the strap open the cam buckle and pull the strap through so it is tight against the top of the bag. Close the buckle and stuff the loose loop of strap into the mesh stuff pocket.

For safe use it is essential that the strap is "stowed" when the bag is fitted to the bike.
