Orange BLACK edition Brompton with Shimano dynamo system

Limited edition BLACK 2018 specification - Orange and Black Brompton folding bike model M6L (M=handlebar type, 6=6 gears, L=with mudguards)

The 2018 BLACK edition is also available in Turkish Green, Black and Black Lacquer

Changes for the 2018 model are:
Schwalbe tyres as standard - the Brompton own brand tyre has been discontinued
New brake calipers - front and rear calliper are now the same
New front mudguard - a minor change to fit the new caliper
Brompton branded one piece brake blocks

Brompton Orange BLACK M6L specifications:

1. Frame
Regular - all steel
The Brompton folding bike frame is made of four main parts - the forks, handlebar stem, main frame and rear triangle
Superlight model bikes have a titanium front fork and rear triangle - to reduce weight
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep
The hinge clamps (which keep the bike from folding when riding) are black instead of silver

3. Handlebars
Low ride M-type handlebars in black
130mm lock-on foam grips - this is now a pretty standard size of grip, so (compared to the high-rise M-type bars) can be replaced a lot easier

4. Gears / drivechain
6 speed black edition BWR (Brompton Wide Ratio) internal hub gear equipped rear wheel plus 2 speed derailleur system (giving 6 gears in total) 
Derailleur chain tensioner
Spider 50T front chain ring (black instead of the standard silver colour) - the chain ring is changeable
175mm black cranks
100 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal - black
Non-folding right hand pedal - black
13/16T rear sprockets

5. Front luggage system
Mounting lugs for future fitting of a front carrier block

6. Mudguards
Front and rear mudguards in black
These are very effective at keeping water from the road from spraying up onto the rider - perfect for British weather!
The roller wheel assembly on the rear mudguard is black (compared to silver on standard bikes)

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels
Schwalbe Marathon 16 x 1.35 at no extra cost
These should have been Marathon Racer - but they are not yet available - so the bike has this upgrade
The tyres offer a low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes - for the black edition, the wheels have black hubs, black spokes and black rims (the braking surface is still silver)

9. Saddle

10. Seat height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

11. Suspension
Hard suspension - suitable for riders above 70kg - this will be the standard from 2018
(If you are below this weight this block is still suitable for you, but will give a firm/sporty ride - if you prefer it softer we can fit a standard suspension block instead for no extra cost)

12. Lighting / reflectors
Brompton Shimano hub dynamo lights
Front and rear dynamo powered lights - so no batteries to recharge / change
The rear light has a built in reflector and features a stand light functionality (so it doesn't go off immediately you stop)
The rear light mounting bracket is black
