Brompton Continental Contact Urban Tyre 20 inch

New for 2024 - these tyres have been introduced as an option on the G line bikes

These will roll with less resistance if you are using your G line on the roads for commuting

Weighs in at just 420g (approx)

Brompton Continental Contact Urban 20 inch tyre - features:

ETRTO size: 50-406 (20" x 2.00mm)
Weight: 420g
Inflation pressure: Maximum 73 PSI / 5 Bar 
Maximum load: 80kg
These tyres must only be used with hooked rims, like those on the Brompton G line 
Inner tube: SV7

Please note these tyres are not suitable for older models, A Line, C Line, P Line or T Line Brompton folding bikes (those with 16 inch wheels) - they are too big! 

Tip: To help avoid punctures / increase confidence - we add some Stans Notubes sealant to our tubes

This is what is used in mountain bike tubeless tyre setup. It's added to the inside of the tube

Sealant is added by removing the inner tube valve core - using a valve core tool, squirting in the sealant and replacing the valve core

If you do then get a thorn / piece of glass into the tyre - the sealant helps to fix the puncture (often without you knowing)

Note: We strongly recommend against the use of tyre levers when installing tyres and inner tubes as it can often result in damage to the tyre, inner tube of both
