BWR axle / planet cage / pinion assembly

Sturmey Archer Brompton Wide Ratio (BWR) Axle / Planet Cage and Pinion assembly

The assembly includes 1 x Pawl Spring Circlip (HSA450) and 2 x Pawl (HSH482)

Axle width = 148mm

The four planet gears / cogs are held in with pins and we have found from experience that they have most probably fallen out of the main unit in the packet (cogs and pins) - so take care when opening or they could end up all over the floor!

Sturmey Archer reference: HSA797

Made in: Taiwan

Note: It may come supplied in a bag or a box (we have had it supplied in different options by Sturmey Archer)

Can the axle/planet cage/pinion unit be disassembled? There are four hex bolts keeping it together as shown in the photo in your catalog which seem to indicate that it can, but the bolts on mine will not budge, even with considerable effort. Answer:
