Racing Green 2017 model Brompton folding bike model H3L (H=higher riding position handlebar type, 3=3 gears, L=with mudguards)

Folding up to such a small size means your Brompton will be accepted on just about all public transport, can be stored under your desk when at work or in a small cupboard when at home.

1. Frame
Regular - all steel
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

Extremities (rear triangle, front forks, handlebar stem): Racing Green

3. Handlebars
H-type - higher / more comfortable riding position of these handlebars was originally deveoped for Holland / Sweden where riders tend to take a more upright riding position
These are the new 2017 model 'low rise' handlebars - they give the same ride height but flex less and allow fitting of the new gear shifters / integrated brake levers and lock-on 130mm grips 

4. Gears / drivechain
3 speed BSR (Brompton Standard Ratio) internal hub gear equipped rear wheel
Standard chain tensioner
50T front chainring - spider model with removable chain ring
98 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal
Non-folding right hand pedal 

5. Front luggage system
None included, though you can always add a front carrier block and the bag(s) of your choice later on

6. Mudguards and pump
Front and rear silver mudguards for all weather riding / commuting - the rear mudguard features the improves 2016 style roller wheel (helping the bike to roll when folded)
A mini pump from Zefal fits neatly into the rear frame 

7. Roller wheels
Standard 2016 roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded - new and improved for 2016 helping the bike to roll better

8. Tyres / Wheels
Brompton standard kevlar tyres 16 x 1 3/8 inch
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection due to the kevlar lining of the tyre
Reflective strip on the sidewall for improved night riding visibility 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle
Standard black Brompton saddle - 2016 model
2016 enhancements included smoother seams for less chaffing and a mount point for a future rear light
Integrated moulded grip under the nose of the saddle makes carrying the folded bike easier
Two hooks/loops at the back of the saddle allow for fitting of small luggage (e.g. the new Brompton pouch) 

10. Seat height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

11. Suspension
Standard suspension - suitable for riders up to 70kg
(If you are over this weight -  then we can fit a firm suspension block for no extra cost)
