Papyrus White 2020 specification Brompton folding bike model M1L (M=handlebar type, 1=1 gear, L=with mudguards)

For the person with legs of steel who doesn't need / want the complexity of gears

This features the integrated brake levers and can easily be upgraded to 2 or 3 speed

3. Handlebars
2017 onwards style M-type - the classic Brompton shape offering a comfortable ride - silver handlebars
New (introduced in 2017) lock-on handlebar grips - held in place with an allen bolt instead of glue

Non-folding right hand pedal

5. Front luggage system
A front carrier block for the Brompton luggage range can easily be fitted

6. Mudguards
Front and rear mudguards for all weather riding / commuting
Colour: Silver (with black mudguard flaps)

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels
Schwalbe Marathon Racer 16 x 1.35 inch tyres with reflective sidewall to help make you more visible to cars when riding in the dark 
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes
Schrader / car type 8mm valve

Standard Brompton saddle

10. Seat height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

11. Suspension
Since 2018 there is only one suspension - equivalent to the old hard/firm suspension block
