Brompton QR mechanism for Superlight Quick Release Pedals

The Brompton superlight pedals with removable left hand pedal were introduced with the T Line Brompton and made standard on the P Line in 2024

The pedals (as a pair) were made available some time in 2023 as an after market option 

This is just the quick release mechanism for the left hand side as a spare

Note: Left hand side as you are sitting on the bike

Fitting instructions

The fit the quick release pedal to the non-drive side:

• Place the bike in the parked position 
• Place the left crank arm parallel and toward the back of the bike to provide access to the back of the crank arm 
• Fit the washer 
• Apply anti-seize or grease to the pedal quick release mechanism tighten to 11.8Nm using a 6mm Hex (Allen) Key 
• Turn clockwise to install and anti-clockwise to uninstall 

Tools required 

• A 6mm hex (Allen) key
• A torque wrench
