Handlebar grips are underestimated (in our opinion)

One of just three contact points on the bike - along with the saddle and pedals, these are one of the first things we change on our own bikes

    We stock grips from:

    • Brompton - as supplied with their classic folding bikes from the factory
    • Ergon - designed as the name suggests with ergonomics focusing on comfort
    • Brooks - British classic style
  • Handlebar Tape

    Handlebar tape

One of the key contact points between you and the bike

Also makes quite a difference to the appearance of your bike

  • Handlebars

    Handlebars

  • Helmets

    Bicycle Helmets

To be honest, I always thought bicycle helmets were a waste of time - only needed as pretty useless protection against poor drivers on the road

Until a friend underwent open brain surgery

On a follow up visit she asked the consultant if it was OK to ride a bike

He said yes - as long as you wear a helmet

Is that because my skull is now weaker from being opened up?

No - it's as wrong as everyone else - which is weak - you should wear a helmet always when riding

Also ..... if you crash and hit your head - you should change the helmet, regardless of any visible damage - as sometimes the damage (saving you) is not visible

  • Lights

Stay alive, see, be seen and please, be safe!

We live in the UK - in autumn, winter and early spring - we need lights to be seen and to see where we are going!

Here is our selection of lights (front, rear and sets)

Click on one of the sub-categories to narrow the display

Most the lights we sell use LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) as the light source - which give greater battery life than traditional bulbs

We also prefer rechargeable lights over those using replaceable batteries

What we don't sell are poor quality lights (we think - but if you know different, please leave your own review on any of our lights - we would appreciate that, to help us, and others evaluate better)
