Brompton mudguards for 16 inch wheel size

In the UK it rains, a lot, granted not as much as in Seattle! (so we have heard)

Brompton is built in the UK, so it makes sense that they know a thing or two about keeping the water off the rider

That's good as might be important for you to have a dry bottom for a meeting or just for comfort

Brompton mudguards were available in a choice of three colours: white, black and silver

Currently (as of 2025) the mudguards are available in two colours:

• Black
• Silver

You will need to know which type of mudguard (and fixings) you need - based on the model / age of your Brompton

Current bikes come with black mudguards - and since 2025 all of these are the advance mudguard - mad from a tougher material than the original mudguard - but with different fittings to fit the new advance rear triangle (introduced with the P Line and T Line)

The Brompton mudguards are made out of plastic, if you mistreat them they will break, for example, forgetting of turn the front wheel as you fold the bike, or dragging the mudguard along the ground as you fold the back wheel under
