Need a replacement titanium front stay for your Brompton?
Looking to lose some weight by moving from steel to titanium?
Looking to add a front mudgard - with lightweight stay?
As well as being lighter than the steel version of the stay, titanium has another benefit in that it doesn't rust
Then this could be just the part you are looking for.
(However - if you are looking for the cheaper steel version - it has a Brompton Q part code of QMGSFA - Brompton steel front mudguard stay)
Complete with nylon hook and fixings
Brompton 2020 Q part code: Q102076
Brompton Q part code: QMGSFA-TI
Brompton part number: 9040094
We made this short video showing how the Brompton front mudguard (and stays) are fitted:
Nice, but won’t last forever (what will?)
I like this. The Ti seems stiffer than the steel it replaced, as well as being much lighter. But I just had to replace mine after 14 years and 20,000 km. the wire had fractured between the wheel nut and the hook. I think it’s a fatigue issue, and I’ve reported it to Brompton.
