Let us know which type of dynamo connectors you would like and we can fit them
(Spades for SON / SP/Shimano tab connector for SP/Shimano)
If you are fitting to a Brompton then you will need the front cable to be approx 33cm long - we can set that to the correct length too

IQ Technology: The Light Revolution:

If you have ever been cycling at night, using an LED IQ headlight to light your way, you will never want to do without the comfort this outstanding light output provides.

At the core of the IQ lighting system is the revolutionary idea not to have the LED light source in the centre of the reflector. The complete reflective surface is used to focus and guide the light. If one looks into the reflector of an IQ headlight, one only sees the metalised
surface - the light shines back towards that surface and is then reflected back out of the front of the light lens

Once the headlight is turned on, what takes its place is “nothing but light”. Since 2007, B&M's innovation has continually been developed further. State of the art are “IQ2-TEC” and “IQ-TEC PREMIUM”. In comparison with the first IQ generations, the new IQ-TEC versions offer double the light output and an almost twice as wide, very extensive field of light.

Light At Close Range:

For a secure ride it is important to be able to see the road directly in front of the bicycle. Bumps or potholes in the road can be seen better if this area is lit and can be circumnavigated by short and intuitive steering. During darkness this is only possible if the area between one and four metres in front of the bicycle is lit brightly and homogenously. Subjectively the need for light at close range is higher the slower one is riding, because one's balance can more easily be influenced by obstacles. "With light at close range" means that the light field emitted by the B&M headlights starts directly one metre in front of the bicycle.

Key Features:

  • 60 Lux / lumens output
  • Daylight sensor - switches light off when it's daylight
  • Extensive light field
  • Light at close range
  • Integrated on off switch
  • Standlight - which can be switched off
  • Weight: 75g (approx)
  • Diameter: 53mm
  • Depth: 70mm
  • Power source 6V 2.4W dynamo (not suitable for electric bikes)

Made in Germany

We made a short video on how to fit a Busch and Muller Cyo light to a Brompton (not this one but its little brother without the daylight sensor function)

Switching on and off and stand light mode

The B+M Cyo Senso Plus light has a rotary switch at the back - with three positions

0 - off

1 - on

S - sensor - will turn off the light when its daylight and switch on when it gets dark

The stand light operates when in mode 1 - on or S - sensor

If the stand light is turned off (move to the 0 position when not riding) then the light will store power for stand light functionality for up to 2-3 days. This means you can turn the stand light on (to use as a torch in a dark garage for example) prior to riding the bike.
