Fantastic bag for the daily rider!

So simple and fuss free, strap is long enough to span comfortably across the chest/shoulder and have the bag beside your waist.

The inside zipped pocket a good size for phone, keys and a purse. Highly recommend.

Versatile & Great Value

When going on Brompton shopping trips I used to use a C bag. But the zipped top got in the way of carrying tall groceries and also limited stowing flexibility. Stuff needed wresting in. Frustrating! So I took a look at the Borough bag. Seemed ideal and the price was half that of the C bag. Ordered through Brilliant Bikes (who were brilliant by the way - it was a day or so delayed in shipping because of waiting for new stock so they used expedited delivery and attached a hand written message on the invoice - lovely touch guys!).

The loading on the front baggage fixing is limited to 10kg but I’ve exceeded this once or twice with a 5 litre load of milk, plus a lot of tins, jars etc. You can perch lighter items so that they protrude above the brim and they don’t fall off. With bag fully loaded the Brommie maintains its wonderful poise and balance. Just beware when removing the bag at the end of the trip as the loaded weight takes you by surprise.

The top of the bag isn’t sealed against the weather of course, though straps and locking clips close it off reasonably well when not fully loaded. But for about £10 a Brompton rainproof cover can be bought if this is an issue.

Could the bag be used for commuting etc? Absolutely! It has fewer frills and less pockets but if you don’t need them you can save a lot of money compared with a C bag. You could even use it for long day trips if you wished, packing short term essentials, drink, food and a waterproof. Nice!

So far it’s been great, a quality item, though at 24 litres obviously you can’t do a full weekly shop with it.
