Brompton replacement ISO bottom bracket cartridge

Brompton ISO bottom bracket - discontinued in 2013 - please click to see replacement

Until 2013 Brompton folding bikes used a FAG 119mm bottom bracket cartridge. This bottom bracket used the Park Tool BBT-4 for removal / installation. (Please note: the picture shows the FAG bottom bracket)

This replacement fitted the long and short wheelbase Brompton.

In early early 2013 Brompton started using a Miche 122.5mm bottom bracket cartridge - still supplied by Brompton. This bottom bracket now uses the Park Tool BBT-5 for removal / installation. (picture shows the FAG bottom bracket)

In 2014 Brompton discontinued the old bottom bracket all together due to supply difficulties - we sell an alternative - see the "Accessories" tab

Please note - if you are replacing the very old bottom bracket (RIMTO 127mm), you should also replace the front chain ring (this will be 46 teeth), in order to maintain the correct chain line.
