Brompton Chain Catcher for the G line and G line electric 

This is the chain catcher as used on the G line and G line electric bicycles as introduced in 2023

The chain catcher is a small component that keeps the chain in place over bumps and potholes in the road

The chain catcher will only work with the three of the standard size of Brompton front chain ring

• 44T
• 50T
• 54T

For the 56 tooth chain ring the chain catcher is different with an additional hole to raise the height 

Fitting instructions: 

• Fit the chain catcher arm to the chain catcher base 
• Align according to the sized chain ring that is fitted to your G line 
• Unfold the bike and select first gear (which is the largest sprocket)
• Clean the seat tube to ensure there is no grease present 
• Place a 3mm Hex (Allen) key on top of the chain to set the distance
• Remove the adhesive pad from the back of the chain catcher 
• Stick the chain catcher onto the seat tube to ensure the chain catcher is resting onto of the hex (Allen) key
• Ensure it does not overlap the serial number plate 
• Press and hold for 5 seconds
• leave for 25 minutes before riding  

Tools required:

• 3mm Hex (Allen) key 
• Cleaning cloth
