Brompton originally introduced (in 2010) a Shimano / Brompton collaboration hub dynamo front wheel - this was an alternative to the lighter weight (but more expensive) SON hub dynamo

In 2013 the wheel was upgraded to a stronger double walled rim

The 2019 model Brompton featured a further change - moving from the Shimano hub dynamo to the SP SV-8 hub dynamo - smaller and lighter

SP = Shutter Products (the company started making photographic equipment before moving into dynamo systems)

In 2024 Brompton changed the spokes to silver from black - resulting in this wheel

This wheel is ideal if you want to choose your own dynamo powered lights (rather than the standard Brompton ones) - we can help out with these - of it you already had a hub dynamo system and have maybe broken the wheel!

The pack consists of the following:

• Brompton 16 inch SP SV-8 hub front wheel with a black hub, rim and silver spokes 
• SP tab connector (no wires) to connect to the front hub
• Rim tape
• Axle fittings
• Fitting instructions
