What do you want in an Enduro bike? To ascend and decend perfectly, and this is what this bike does
The Tracer 279 has been upgraded to the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and SRAM T-Type compatibility
The Trecer borrows design inspiration and technology from the Intense M29 downhill bike.
Utilising its bottom link-driven rear shock and suspension design, Intense have created a mountain bike with plush travel for the roughest of descents and a firm pedal platform when needed for climbing
The rear shock is positioned low down and centred in the frame, allowing the Tracer to descend and handle terrain impeccably

Note: INTENSE does not recommend running a dual-crown fork on any Tracer frame. If you choose to do so, it will void the INTENSE warranty
The Tracer 279 has a 'Flip Chip' feature which allows you to alter your bike's geometry between two positions.
The Chad Storage system is an on-bike storage solution that is being introduced on the Tracer. This system is not one individual part but a concept for storage solutions that will continue to evolve.
The Tracer 279 Frame has been designed around a staggered / mixed / mullet wheelset, which was found by Intense to give a great balance of agility and stability.
When the trails get tight or you're looking to shave time off of race stages, the tracer is ready
What this means is ... that you get a supple and sensitive ride that initially absorbs small bumps, then seamlessly moves into a supportive mid-stroke platform (which helps to maintain ride height) and finally into a controlled ramp-up towards bottom-out
All this translates into a very predictable ride that offers plenty of support, can tackle anything, and gives endless grip in all situations
This is a medium
Size | Seat Tube length | Standover Height | Rider Size |
Small | 408mm | 815mm | 155 - 166cm or 5ft 0in to 5ft 6in |
Medium | 431mm | 815mm | 164 - 177cm or 5ft 4in to 5ft 10in |
Large | 451mm | 819mm | 175 - 187cm or 5ft 10in to 6ft 2in |
Extra Large | 476mm | 828mm | 185 - 197cm or 6ft 0in to 6ft 6in |
Although the above gives a rough size guide - there is a simple sizing on the Intense box! (You need to be able to stand over the highest part of the crossbar with a one inch learance between the crossbar and your crotch - we think this is a safety feature!)
