Grey Brompton folding bike model S3L

The grey colour was introduced by Brompton in 2017 and discontinued late 2018 (with the 2019 model launch). The grey was also used on the extremities of the Brompton Demo bikes for 2018

(S=handlebar type - straight/sports, 3=3 gears, L=with mudguards)

The Brompton is perfect for all but extreme types of riding from the daily commute to popping to the shops / bank / cafe to accompanying the kids on their ride to school to touring in a canal boat or keeping in the back of your car for when you want to get a quick ride in!

Folding up to such a small size means it is accepted on just about all public transport - including South West trains!, can be stored under your desk when at work or in a small cupboard when at home.

Regular - all steel
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

3. Handlebars
S-type - the sports/straight Brompton handlebars offering a sports riding position with black handlebar grips
New (from 2017) integrated gear / brake lever and bell on the right hand side and lonely brake lever on the left hand side

3 speed BSR (Brompton Standard Ratio) internal hub gear equipped rear wheel
Standard chain tensioner
50T front chainring - spider crank - silver
98 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal
Non-folding right hand pedal 

5. Front luggage system
None included - but ask nicely and we may just fit one :-)

6. Mudguards
Front and rear mudguards for all weather riding / commuting - silver 

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded - new 2017 version

8. Tyres / Wheels
Schwalbe Marathon Racer 16 inch tyres - new for 2018 - with reflective sidewall to help make you more visible to cars when riding in the dark 
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle
Standard Brompton saddle - black
Saddle loops at the back for fitting a small saddlebag / pouch if required
Mounting point underneath the saddle for the CatEye / Brompton mini rear LED light

10. Seat height
Extended length seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 35 inches
If you have an inside leg up to 33 inches - we can change to a standard (6cm shorter) seatpost for no extra charge
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

11. Suspension
Firm suspension - suitable for riders over 70kg or those liger ones looking for a firm ride
(If you are below this weight - then we can fit a standard suspension block for no extra cost)
