2018 S-type CHPT3 2-speed Brompton

Each year (maybe once, or maybe twice) - Brompton release some special editions 

This is a lightweight racing Brompton released in conjunction with TdF legend David Millar

Brompton CHPT3 edition 2-speed specification:

1. Frame
Main frame - steel
Extremities (front fork and rear triangle) - titanium
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

2. Colour
Main frame: Red / grey
Extremities: Black painted titanium
(Normally Brompton leave the titanium frame parts in their natural colour - so with these black painted parts people won't know about your weight saving!)
Extra detailing in black - rims / hubs / handlebars / headset / hinge clamps / pedals and more!
Decal: White

3. Handlebars
S-type sports handlebars for an aerodynamic racing position - black
Ergon red GA2 lock-on 130mm handlebar grips 

4. Gears / drivechain
2 speed rear wheel for light weight
Derailleur chain tensioner
54T front chainring (black instead of silver)
102 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal
Non-folding right hand pedal
12/16T rear sprockets 
New 2017 onwards style 2 speed gear shifter

5. Front luggage system
Mounting lugs for future fitting of a Front carrier block

6. Mudguards
No mudguards - to save weight

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded

Limited edition gum-wall Schwalbe Kojak 16 inch tyres
Lowest rolling resistance - built for speed
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 
2-speed lightweight rear wheel with black rim
Superlight black front wheel

9. Saddle
Brooks Cambium saddle - special edition red and black

10. Seat height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches - black anodised
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost

Hard / firm suspension - new 2018 suspension block
