2019 S-type CHPT3 6-speed Brompton

Each year (maybe once, or maybe twice) - Brompton release some special editions 

This one is a lightweight Brompton racing machine released in conjunction with TdF legend David Millar, but with extra gears for everyday riding

Weight is saved by having no mudguards, machined hollow hinge clamp handles, a Fabric saddle and grips and titanium forks and rear triamgle

Brompton CHPT3 edition 6-speed specification:

1. Frame
Main frame - steel
Extremities (front fork and rear triangle) - titanium - painted black
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

2. Colour
Main frame: Red / black - slightly textured (you have to feel it to know what we mean!)
Extremities: Black painted titanium

3. Handlebars
S-type sports handlebars for an aerodynamic racing position
Fabric red 130mm handlebar grips 

4. Gears / drivechain
3 speed BWR rear wheel combined with derailleur to give 6 gears in total
Derailleur chain tensioner
50T front chainring - black
100 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal - black
Non-folding right hand pedal - black
13/16T rear sprockets 
Integrated brake / gear shifters

5. Front luggage system
Mounting lugs for future fitting of a Front carrier block

6. Mudguards
No mudguards - to save weight

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels
Limited edition gum-wall Schwalbe One 16 inch tyres - 16 x 1 1/3 inch / 35-349, inflate to 65-100psi
Low rolling resistance - built for speed
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle
Fabric - red and black

10. Seat height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches - black
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 
Black pentaclip for fixing the saddle to the seat post
