2020 limited edition Brompton Explore M6E folding bike

Each year (maybe once, or maybe twice) - Brompton release some special editions. This is designed for exploring - with six gears, lower gearing (for climbing) and travel / bike packing bags

Brompton Explore M6E specification:

1. Frame
Regular - all steel
Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

2. Colour
Main frame: Matt green with an orange front main frame
Extremities: Matt green
Decal: Black

3. Handlebars
2017 onwards low-rise style M-type - the classic Brompton shape offering a comfortable ride - black bars
Special orange lock on ribbed 130mm handlebar grips

4. Gears / drive chain
6 speed BWR (Brompton Wide Ratio) internal hub gear - black hub - equipped rear wheel plus 2 speed derailleur system (giving 6 gears in total)
Derailleur chain tensioner
44T front spider chainring (black instead of silver) - lower geared for easier climbing / touring
98 link Brompton / SRAM chain with powerlink
Folding left hand pedal - black
Non-folding right hand pedal - black
13/16T rear sprockets 
2017 onwards style integrated gear shifters (left and right) - black

5. Luggage system / spares

• Front carrier block fitted

The Brompton front carrier system allows a front bag to be easily affixed / removed from the bike.

When riding, because the bag is attached to the main frame rather than the handlebars it doesn't affect the steering.

• Brompton Explore front bag

A green roll-top bag made for adventures / exploring / travelling

It has two pockets on the back which are easily accessible using magnetic fastenings - so no fiddling is required if you want to grab your camera quickly (for example). One of these two pockets has a water bottle storage sleeve inside

Theres a shower proof cover which slips over the outside to help keep your stuff dry

There are two stuff side pockets

It has an adjustable shoulder strap

On the front it has a strap for attaching extra luggage - we think it's idea for a sleeping bag 

• Brompton Explore saddle bag

A useful saddle bag for carrying smaller items which attaches to the saddle

• Spares / toolkit

The Brompton Toolkit which slips neatly inside the frame - so you have your essential tools to hand without even noticing

No mudguards

7. Roller wheels
Standard roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels
Special Edition Schwalbe Marathon Racer 16 x 1 1/3 tyres with tan sidewall - folding tyre, and one spare tyre / two spare tubes - ready for exploring 
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim and 28 spokes - for the black edition, the wheels have black hubs, black spokes and black rims (the braking surface is still silver)
Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle
Special all weather Brooks Cambium saddle to match the bike frame colour

10. Seat / saddle height
Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches - black
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost
