The P Line - Performance Line range was introduced by Brompton with the 2022 lineup of bikes

The main benefit over the standard (or C Line) range of Brompton folding bikes is weight. Gearing wise it uses 4 derailleur gears which give equivalent gearing to the traditional 3 speed (or Utility) Brompton which was discontinued in 2023

The combination of Low or sports position handlebars with the metallic storm grey colour has made (for us at least) this the most popular combination in the P Line range

Brompton P Line Low Storm Grey specification:

1. Frame

Superlight:
Steel Main frame and stem
Titanium forks
New titanium advance rear triangle


Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

2 Colour

Main frame: Storm Grey with a metallic finish
Handlebar stem: Storm Grey to match main frame
Forks / stem / rear triangle: Black
Decal: Black
Detailing: Black

3. Handlebars

Low / sports bars (previously known as the S type) - for a sporty / more aerodynamic riding position

4. Gears / drivechain

4 speed advance Brompton derailleur system - saving weight over the traditional hub gear system
Derailleur chain tensioner
50T front chainring - black
106 link Brompton advance chain with connecting link
Folding left hand pedal - black
Non-folding right hand pedal - black
4 rear rear sprockets 
Integrated 4-speed gear shifter on left side of bars - black

5. Front luggage system

The P line range (as standard) doesn't come with a front carrier block - to save weight (this bike does have one)
If you would like it removed - let us know and we'll do that free of charge

6. Mudguards / Rack

This bike comes with black advance mudguards
No rack / roller frame is included - though it can be retro-fitted

7. Roller wheels

New advance roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

8. Tyres / Wheels

Continental Contact Urban folding tyres (our favourites) - black / reflective
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 
16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim

  • 28 spokes  on the rear
  • 20 spokes on the front

The wheels have black hubs, black spokes and black rims (the braking surface is still silver)

Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

9. Saddle

Brompton superlight saddle
Fixing point for Brompton rear light (light not included) on the saddle

10. Seat height

Standard seatpost for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches
(If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)
For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

Saddle height insert is included - we recommend you fit that after riding the bike for a while

11. Suspension

Along with the new P Line comes a new advance suspension block

12. Lighting / reflectors

Front and rear reflectors  are included
It's easy to retrofit battery lighting such as the Brompton Spanning solo rear light or Brompton CatEye 500lm light
