The Stamp 7 was the new name for the original Stamp pedal- now there is a range of them, 2,3,7 and 11 - low number = cheaper / slightly less build quality (if you could ever call crankbrothers over quality)

Tools required:

For installation:

• 8mm allen key / hex wrench for installation of pedal
• 2mm allen key / hex wrench for adjustment of pins
• grease (for greasing the pedal threads before installing into the crank arms) 

For servicing:

• cross head screwdriver (to access grease port for servicing)
• 2.5mm allen key / hex wrench toremove body screws to remove pedal axle

The crankbrothers stamp 7 flat pedal is (as it says in the sales literature) engineered to provide the optimal interface between shoe and pedal. Quite important as you have three contact points to your bike - the grips, the pedals and the saddle (and maybe you stand up sometimes leaving just two contact points).

The 13mm external and 11mm internal thickness on the level 7 stamp provide a low profile concave pedal body that your feet sit into. Adjustable pins allow you, the rider to fine tune the feel.

The outsole profiles of the top mountain bike shoe brands (we read here five-ten) were analysed and the data used to create two distinct surface areas to optimise shoe/pedal contact across all of these different models. The small is designed for EU shoe sizes from 37-43, and 43-49 for large. Once the optimal sizes had been established the features required for the ideal flat pedal were also incorporated.
