Big, but not too big!

Adds yet another level of utility to your Brompton

I am delighted with this Borough Roll Top bag, and feel the money I have spent on it is justified, an excellent piece of kit. This is an early impressions review, using it on my M6L.

The materials and construction are of good quality, the bag feels very robust (it weighs 1.6kg), and the details seem to be well thought out. Although before purchase I had some reservations as to how satisfactorily the roll-top securing system would work, I need not have worried, I have found it performs well. I also wondered how the volume of this bag would look and feel on the Brompton. Having loaded it with groceries (all up weight 10kg including the bag itself, and 90% filling the volume), I am pleased to say that it is very much a thumbs up. If anything, it gives the Brompton a smoother ride, and stability of the bag and the bike at all speeds is good, it feels perfectly natural. I like the stretchy side pockets, great for quick and easy access for small items without having to undo any fastenings.

It is another tick in the box for Brompton all-round versatility and with this bag it is keeping me smiling, it is still fun to ride!

Capacious

This bag is a thing of beauty and when you consider that the bag also includes a frame it is, in Brompton terms at least, a relative bargain!

The Cordura 1000D broken twill fabric has a very soft texture, which is nice. The bag is generously sized - I normally use a 30l rucksack and this seems much larger.

As an experienced cyclist who is new to Brompton's I have found the library of YouTube videos by Brilliant Bikes invaluable in helping to understand how things work and they will be my first port of call for spares. The free postage and packaging was the icing on the cake - I had it within 24hrs of ordering!
