Brompton single / two speed rear hub - silver

Until 2018, this was a replacement Brompton 28 hole rear hub as used on the single/two speed rear wheel (QRW2SS)

Well - it is still the same thing, but is no longer available as a component part, it is now necessary to buy the complete wheel

Includes axle fittings

Excludes rim, sprocket stack, circlip and spokes.

The same hub is used on single speed and two speed rear wheels.

The wheel is made single speed using a sprocket stack with just one sprocket and spacers. A non derailleur chain tensioner is used.

The wheel is made two speed using a double sprocket stack - either 12/16T or 13/16T combinations are available as standard Brompton options. A derailleur chain tensioner is used.

The hub driver uses 16 spline Shimano style fittings. 

Sprockets are held in place with a circlip.
