Brompton Superlight Quick Release Pedals - Red 

These pedals were originally introduced with the Brompton T Line, then added as standard to the P Line in 2024

Note: We like these pedals and have pretty much upgraded all of our own Bromptons to use them and they are one of our most popular Brompton upgrades

In autumn 2025 Brompton also launched them in a range of alternative colours - including these red ones

Brompton model compatibility:

Compatible with all model Brompton folding bikes, this is a pair of (two) pedals for your Brompton, the left (as you sit on the bike) is a quick release and the right is a fixed pedal

  • Brompton G Line - uses the same quick release mechanism as the G Line flat pedals

These pedals are as supplied on the T Line and P Line Brompton, but are also compatible with the G Line, C Line and A Line Brompton models

On the Brompton C Line and P Line the pedal holder fits to the rear of the front brake caliper

With the G Line the pedal can slot into the pedal holder already on the rear of the front fork (it comes as standard with a different version of these pedals - with a wider platform)

If you have a very old Brompton with a brake caliper held in place by a 10mm bolt then the quick release pedal holder won't fit onto the back of the front fork

If that is the case you could change to later brake calipers but you would have to drill the mounting hole in the front fork bigger by 1mm

The package contains the following items: 

  • A left hand quick release pedal (weight 133g)
  • A fixed right hand pedal (weight 125g) 
  • A quick release mechanism 
  • required washers 
  • Quick release pedal holder 

Note: Left / Right hand as you are sitting on the bike

The weight of the two pedals is 258g plus the fitting parts at 54g so the total weight is approx 300g

Brompton Superlight Pedal - Fitting instructions:

The fit the quick release pedal to the non-drive side:

  • Place the bike in the parked position 
  • Place the left crank arm parallel and toward the back of the bike to provide access to the back of the crank arm 
  • Fit the washer 
  • Apply anti-seize or grease to the pedal quick release mechanism tighten to 11.8Nm using a 6mm Hex (Allen) Key 
  • Turn clockwise to install and anti-clockwise to uninstall 
  • To remove the pedal when not in use, press either side of the pedal quick release mechanism and pull the pedal away from the crank arm
To fit the fixed right pedal to the drive side:
  • Place the bike in the parked position
  • Apply some anti-seize or grease to the thread of the pedal 
  • Tighten the pedal to 20Nm using an 8mm Hex key
To fit the quick release pedal holder:
  • Remove the bolt at the brake of the front brake caliper using a 6mm Allen key
  • Replace it with the quick release pedal holder and tighten to 6Nm

Tools required 

  • 8mm hex wrench / Allen key
  • 6mm hex wrench / Allen key
  • Torque wrench
