Brompton Superlight Advance Pentaclip - Black

The Brompton Advance Superlight Pentaclip was introduced in 2022 for the T and P Line Brompton folding bikes with super light carbon tail saddles

• Compatible with standard rail and oval rail saddles
• Weighs just 94g
• Super-adjustable

It is actually compatible with all Brompton folding bikes, however please note the orientation when fitting:

1. The Pentaclip has short lips for all standard steel saddle rails 
2. It has long lips for fitting to the Oval carbon saddle rails on the T Line bike, when fitting to carbon saddles it is recommend to use carbon gripper to the saddle rails

It can handle saddles with a rail spacing of 43 mm (centre to centre) and a rail diameter of 7 mm, though it can also cope with a reasonable variation in these dimensions. If the saddle’s rails are closer together the pentaclip may feel stiff when the angle is adjusted.

Note: This is the black Superlight pentaclip - it's black (though the bolt and washers are still silver).

For those of you trying to save weight, the weight is 94g (on our scales) compared to a standard black Pentaclip which we make 108g so that's a saving of 14g!

As well as connecting the saddle to the seatpost, the Pentaclip also allows for adjustment of the saddle. By losening the pentaclip the saddle can be slid forwards to reduce the reach required to the handlebars or backwards to increase reach.

The Pentaclip / saddle need to be removed in order to remove the seatpost

• 5mm allen key / hex wrench (such as the Park Tool PH-5)
• Torque wrench 

• Orient the Petaclip the correct way for your saddle rails (shot lips for steel and long lips for carbon rails) and fit to your saddle
• Pop onto the seat post 
• Adjust the forward back location 
• Tighten the Petaclip bolt to 10Nm using the torque wrench
